AI Search Visibility Prompt Tracking Tools: Otterly, Profound, Peec AI, Scrunch (2026)
A 2026 agency note on Otterly, Profound, Peec AI, and Scrunch as prompt tracking tools, and the Promptwatch log we run unless one of those four already covers the engines in the SOW.
This title is a named list: Otterly, Profound, Peec AI, and Scrunch as AI search visibility prompt tracking tools in 2026. We will treat them as logins, not as a scored roundup. The question we actually answer is which of those four can hold a frozen prompt list on the engines the SOW named, and whether we should add Promptwatch anyway.
Ahrefs and Semrush stay. They are not on this list. Brand Radar is modeled. The Semrush AI Toolkit is $99/mo per domain and also modeled.
Otterly
Published entry we use is $29. Setup is fast. The trial does not ask for a card. ChatGPT and Perplexity sit in the base set. Gemini and Claude are add-ons and lag 7 days.
We inherit Otterly when a brand team already lives there. We label it weekly-ish. We do not chart it against a daily log as if the timestamps match. Extra prompt packs exist; we will not invent those prices here. No traffic attribution on the cheap tier is the usual gap we have to fill ourselves.
Profound
The name that reads as enterprise. Starter is $99 on annual billing and ChatGPT only. That is a prompt tracking tool for one engine. Growth is $399 annual. The full engine list is a sales conversation.
Teams that report "we have Profound" and then cannot answer Perplexity at the prompt level have Starter. If Enterprise is already signed, we work from it. We still want crawler logs. If Profound is only Starter, we run Promptwatch in parallel on the same list.
Peec AI
Starter is $95/mo for 50 prompts and three models. Daily. Unlimited seats. Claude is Enterprise or an extra at $35 to $165. It stops at monitoring.
For a one-brand shop that only wanted prompt tracking, Peec is the fair $95 comparison. It will not tell us GPTBot was blocked. It will not attach an AI-referred session. Those tickets still need a person and, on our accounts, Promptwatch Agent Analytics plus visitor analytics.
Scrunch
$250 on annual billing. Weekly Excel. Sitecore in 2026. That is a starter export, not a team prompt tracker with seats and a crawl path. We will read the sheet if procurement already signed it. We will not move a multi-brand weekly onto that plan.
The login we operate
Promptwatch paid plans cover ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Overviews from the UIs, daily. Citation analytics, crawler logs, visitor analytics (script or GTM), country/state/city, and a DataForSEO integration sit on the project.
Essential is $95/mo (one project, 50 prompts). Kick-off is $199/mo (unlimited projects, 10 seats). Professional is $245/mo. Business is $579/mo. Explore is free, ChatGPT only, 10 prompts.
Content Agents can draft into Webflow or Framer. Review inbox required. We do not sell instant alerts. We do not run visibility from screenshots.
How we decide which of the four to keep
- If the export is current and the engines match the SOW, keep it. Add Promptwatch only for crawl, visits, or missing engines.
- If the SKU is Otterly $29 plus a Gemini add-on, keep it as a second glance. Daily rows go to Promptwatch.
- If the SKU is Profound Starter, keep the ChatGPT history. Load Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Overviews elsewhere.
- If the SKU is Peec and the list is small, keep Peec. Say the crawl gap out loud.
- If the SKU is Scrunch, keep the Excel for politics. Operate Promptwatch for the week.
How to get cited by ChatGPT after a miss. GSC generative reports stay for Overviews impressions.
FAQ
Do we have to pick one of the four?
No. The title named them because buyers search those names. We will start on Promptwatch when none of the four is paid, or when the paid SKU is ChatGPT-only or weekly.
Is Peec AI the same as Promptwatch at $95?
Same sticker, thinner product. Peec is a tracker. Promptwatch is a tracker plus crawl, visits, and a draft inbox. If you already have Peec and writers, you can stay.
Should we cancel Otterly on day one?
Not on day one. Stop using it as the SOW number.
What to do this week
- Write down which of the four is on the card, the plan name, and the engines.
- Write 25 prompts from sales.
- If coverage is incomplete, create Promptwatch on Essential ($95) or Kick-off ($199).
- Keep Ahrefs and Semrush running.
- Email hello@1001seomedia.com with the current vendor and the list. We will name the gap. We will not invent scores for Otterly, Profound, Peec, or Scrunch.
