How to Publish GEO Content to Webflow from Promptwatch
How we publish Promptwatch GEO drafts to Webflow over OAuth with field mapping, always as draft, never live autopublish on client sites.
Webflow is a live CMS connection in Promptwatch. We still treat publish as a human step. OAuth, map the fields, push draft. We do not turn on live autopublish on a client site. If that sentence is a problem, we are the wrong agency for the account.
WordPress is listed as coming soon. If the CMS is WordPress, we draft in Promptwatch or we export. We do not pretend a connector exists. Use Promptwatch for the brief and the measurement. Publish in WordPress yourself. We will not sell a fake WordPress toggle.
Connect, map, draft
OAuth to the Webflow site, on the CMS-connected seat. Write key only there. Pick the collection. Map fields: title, slug, body, and whatever else that collection already uses. We do not invent a new collection named "AI" unless the client asked for a separate blog. Most of the time we map onto the collection they already publish from. Do not create a junk "GEO" collection unless they asked.
The Content Agent can plan and write on a schedule. The inbox is still approve, edit, or reject. After accept, we push to Webflow as a draft item. An editor in Webflow hits publish when the page is actually ready. Live item publish exists in the product. We do not use it as the default on retainers.
Can the agent publish live on a schedule if the client says it is fine? The product can push live. We still will not set that as the default on a client Webflow. If an in-house team wants live publish on their own site, they can. On our retainers, draft first. Never live autopublish.
Markdown becomes HTML in the mapped body field. If their collection expects a rich text field, we map there. If a field has no source, we leave it empty rather than stuffing a hallucinated excerpt.
Write keys live only on the CMS-connected seat. Analysts who only read visibility get read-only keys. See read-only API keys.
What we generate against
Gap analysis first. We do not open a blank article because the calendar fired. Run gap analysis, open one draft, edit in the inbox. The draft should close a missing claim or patch an existing URL. Passage shape still follows how to get cited by ChatGPT. Google's AI optimization guidance is the useful official page when a client asks whether "GEO content" is a different quality bar. Helpful, crawlable pages are still the ones we publish.
We reject invented prices, invented customers, and a second article on a gap we already cover. We reject a draft that ignores the Brand Book. After a human publishes in Webflow, we watch citations in Promptwatch. Check crawler logs if the URL never appears.
Essential includes 5 AEO articles at $95/mo. Professional is 15 at $245/mo. Business is 30 at $579/mo. Kick-off at $199/mo is unlimited projects and prompts, 10 seats. Article budgets still sit on the plan. Explore is free, 10 ChatGPT prompts, and is not a publishing program. G2: 4.7/5.
Framer is also a live CMS path. Same draft rule. This post is Webflow because that is the question.
