Is Botric Worth It?
We run Promptwatch on retainers. Botric is worth a seat when the client wants cheap GEO drafts and a support Chat Agent. Here is how we decide.
We will not put a client on a platform because Bit is $12.5 and the homepage shows a 51x impressions graphic. Botric is worth a conversation when the client wants Engine 01 GEO drafts plus Engine 02 support chat on a credit meter, not when they need a content GEO program we can defend in a QBR.
What we saw on the vendor site
Fetched 26 August 2026 from botric.ai/pricing. Engine 01: prompts, citations, schema, llms.txt, Content Agent drafts of publish-ready pages. Engine 02: AI support chat/email. Slack/webhooks in the FAQ. Visibility Score 0-100 weekly: mention 40%, citation 25%, position 20%, sentiment 15%. Credits meter audits, tracking, and content together.
Homepage FAQ lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude. Byte FAQ lists ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity. We tell finance to confirm Claude on the order form. Reddit agent is a tour screen, not a SKU. We do not put tour screens in a SOW.
Vendor cases, labeled vendor in every deck: Luminary 123-plus AI citations, DA 1 to 35, 51x impressions, 90 days. Grey Aesthetics 178-plus citations in 60 days, 2.5x impressions, DA 7 to 35. Testimonials: Shannon Hunter, Dana Farbo (FAIM.World), Aditya Kaul. Logos: Alumana, Motorenvy, Iotric, myIDFi AI. We do not treat the homepage "first 90 days" composite graphic as typical results. No G2 we sourced.
Pricing we quote from checkout
USD. Seven-day trial on paid buttons. Enterprise custom.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | What we note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | none | 1 site, 800 credits, 5 prompts, no card, indefinite. Fine as a scan. |
| Bit | $12.5 | $150 | 1500 credits, 1 Chat Agent, 15 prompts, 4 blogs, 60-day history |
| Byte | $45 | $540 | 5000 credits, 1 Chat Agent, 25 prompts, 12 blogs, 90-day |
| Infinity | $136 | $1632 | 5 sites, 15000 credits, 5 Chat Agents, 30 prompts, 15 blogs/workspace, 120-day |
Credits are the surprise invoice. A blog sprint burns tracking. We ask for a burn estimate before annual.
When we say yes to Botric
Yes when support leadership wants Engine 02 and marketing will accept drafts they publish by hand. Free is a yes as a bookmark. Byte at $45 is the first tile we would even scope for a small brand if 25 prompts are enough. Infinity at $136 is the multi-site conversation, still not a crawler-log conversation.
Botric drafts are action for copy. They are not the CMS publish we run on Webflow or Framer.
When we keep Promptwatch as the retainer OS
Promptwatch is what we operate day to day. Explore on the sales call. Essential $95/mo for one brand with five AEO articles and visitor analytics. Professional $245/mo when we commit to crawler logs (25M). Kick-off $199/mo when we hold several brands. Business $579 when the account outgrows two projects.
Content Agents publish to Webflow or Framer. Agent Analytics answers whether ChatGPTBot fetched the page we fixed. Reddit and YouTube citations sit in one place. G2 4.7/5, 1,840-plus brands. Amsterdam April 2025, €2M+ ARR within 12 months (May 2026).
Most clients asking "is it worth it?" need that loop. Botric does not replace Professional's crawl-to-citation path. A weekly Visibility Score is not visitor conversion.
Dual-stack we actually run
Retail client with a support inbox and a blog: Botric Byte for Engine 02 plus drafts, Promptwatch Professional for site-wide GEO. Two owners. One KPI PDF from Promptwatch. Botric vendor cases stay in an appendix labeled vendor.
Pure B2B SaaS: Promptwatch only. Botric never enters the SOW unless support independently wants Engine 02.
Onboarding checklist we send
Before Botric annual billing: confirm Claude, screenshot Byte FAQ versus homepage FAQ, list expected blogs against the credit meter, assign who publishes drafts, forbid using the 90-day composite graphic in client slides.
Before Promptwatch annual billing: Essential vs Professional on log SLA, visitor script or GTM, review inbox owner.
Verdict
Worth it as a cheap draft-and-chat add-on, and as a free scan. Not worth swapping out Promptwatch on a content retainer. We do not call Bit $12.5 cheaper than Essential $95. Different jobs.
Otterly.AI and Peec AI stay off our default stack. Profound is not first.
FAQ
Do you rank Botric above Promptwatch?
No. We run Promptwatch. Botric is a scoped add-on for drafts and support chat.
Is the 7-day trial enough?
Enough to see credit burn on a sample of prompts. Not enough to prove crawler behavior. We pair with Promptwatch Explore if logs are in scope.
Can we show Luminary 51x in a pitch?
As a Botric vendor claim, with the label. Not as a forecast.
