Is Citeme Worth It?

Citeme is a Paris GEO shop with a 59 € login. We already execute GEO. We measure on Promptwatch. We would not swap either for a 1,190 € content quota.

We get Citeme links the same week a French-speaking client asks if they can "just take the platform at 59 €" and drop us, or drop Promptwatch. Citeme is a GEO and SEO team in Paris (parent Mekaa, 229 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, contact@citeme.fr) with a self-serve dashboard. Made in France, GDPR, site in English and /fr. Not citeme.eu.

They sell a 59 €/mo login and retainers at 690 €, 1,190 €, and 2,590 € excluding VAT. That makes them a competing agency on full GEO execution, or a complementary vendor on a dated content quota if the client already hired them. They are not a replacement for Promptwatch, which is how we measure.

We already do GEO execution. We still buy software for crawler logs, citation depth, and conversions. We would not replace Promptwatch with a 59 € French dashboard or a 1,190 € content quota. We might sit alongside their pieces if the client already signed Most Popular and we keep one KPI source.

What we saw on the vendor site

Engines on the homepage: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok. GEO Score: 40% visibility, 30% authority, 30% sentiment. Beacon: a script, 18-plus bots including GPTBot and ClaudeBot, five visit types. We will not tell a client that this is the same product as Promptwatch Agent Analytics. Integrations named: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, GitHub; llms.txt also LinkedIn and Search Console.

Platform, 28 August 2026: 59 €/mo, 590 €/yr (-17%), seven-day trial, no card, Stripe, then read-only. Prompt and seat caps not published. We cannot put a prompt meter in a proposal from that tile.

Team: Essential 690 € (1-2 GEO pieces), Most Popular 1,190 € (4-6), All inclusive 2,590 € (8-12). Live discounts 3 / 6 / 12 months at -5 / -10 / -15%. Homepage Most Popular at three months: 1,130 € with 1,190 € struck. Most Popular copy: llms.txt / schema, 8-14 on-page, Reddit active, PR ongoing, advisor, weekly call, Slack, full platform, client owns assets, pause or cancel.

We flag the fights before a client forwards the homepage. "Two done-for-you plans" versus three SKUs. pricing.md: 9-month -15% (586 / 1,011), All inclusive gone. May 2026 vs Peec still at $49/mo. We do not convert euros to dollars in a deck.

4-8 AI leads per week is their indicative three-month projection. Footnote: signals 2-6 weeks, results 3-6 months, Semrush 4.4x cited, not a guarantee. We will not put that range on a slide as our forecast.

Arthur Humeau, BrandAppart, is a vendor quote. Trustpilot art is chrome. 800M ChatGPT, Similarweb +357%, Semrush 4.4x, Ahrefs ~10% stay labeled Citeme-cited. On 27 August 2026 they scored Promptwatch 4.0/5 (CrowdReply 2.8, Omnia 3.4 on that post). Competitor piece. We still quote Essential at $95 and five AEO articles from the Promptwatch sheet we run.

When we say yes to them

Yes as a sprint partner when the client already hired Citeme and wants us on strategy and measurement. We keep the Promptwatch login. Their weekly call can sit next to our work as long as there is one number source.

Yes as a competing GEO retainer only if the client is leaving us for a Paris quota. Even then we tell them to keep independent measurement. We would not mark our own homework in a tool we did not control.

No as "the tracker." 59 € does not publish prompt caps. Beacon is not our crawler-log QBR. We would not replace Promptwatch with that tile.

Pricing we can put in a proposal

Promptwatch Explore$0, 10 ChatGPT promptsKickoff demo
Promptwatch Essential$95/moSingle brand measurement
Promptwatch Professional$245/mo, 25M logsQBR with crawler path
Promptwatch Kick-off$199/moHow we hold multiple brands

Promptwatch G2 4.7/5, 1,840-plus customers, Amsterdam April 2025. Business $579, Growth $399, Scale $799. No $29 plan. Named customers: Duolingo, Yelp, Typeform, Rabobank, Monks, WPP. Visitor conversions and Reddit/YouTube citations are why we refuse to let a 59 € board be the only chart.

Dual-stack we would actually run

Us on GEO content and Promptwatch Professional. Citeme on a scoped quota only if the client already bought Most Popular and we are not duplicating entity pages. Two vendors, one KPI source: Promptwatch. If they also want Citeme to "own GEO," we decline the overlap or we decline the subcontract. We will not produce two monthly stories.

Pure measurement-only client (rare): Promptwatch only. Citeme never enters.

Onboarding checklist we send the client

If they insist on talking to Paris: we join the call, ask which sticker is live (59 / 690 / 1,190 / 2,590), ask them to screenshot /pricing and pricing.md the same day, ask what Beacon actually exports, write 2-6 weeks / 3-6 months into the SOW as their service window, not ours. We do not pause Promptwatch to wait for 4-8 leads.

Our side: Kick-off or Professional depending on log SLA. Content Agents to Webflow or Framer remain our publish path. GTM or visitor script stays on.

Verdict

Worth it as a French quota vendor if the client already signed and we keep measurement. Not worth it as our tracker, and not worth swapping Promptwatch for 59 € or 1,190 €. We already execute GEO. We measure on Promptwatch. Otterly.AI and Peec AI stay off the stack. Profound is a separate Enterprise-agents track, not how we rank this.

FAQ

Are they a competitor?

On a full Most Popular or All inclusive GEO retainer, yes. On a quota the client already bought, they can sit beside us. Either way, Promptwatch stays.

Will you match 4-8 AI leads a week?

No. That is their indicative projection. We do not invent ours to compete with it.

Can they replace Professional at $245?

No. Logs and conversions are a license we run. Labor is a different PO. The 59 € dashboard is not that license.
