Is LLMagnet Worth It?
We run Promptwatch on retainers. LLMagnet is worth a plugin seat when the client is on WordPress or Shopify and needs llms.txt. Here is how we decide.
We will not put a client on a GEO platform because a WordPress plugin is $29. LLMagnet is worth a conversation when the site is WordPress or Shopify and merchandising wants llms.txt, Schema, and a bot chart, not when they need a program we can defend in a QBR.
What we saw on the vendor site
WordPress marketing page read 26 August 2026. WordPress.org plugin updated 15 July 2026. Product: llms.txt and llms-full.txt, AI-bot visit analytics, visibility score, Schema JSON-LD meant to sit next to Yoast or RankMath, small prompt quota. Bots on the .org listing: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok. Schema wizard. WooCommerce AI-to-revenue on Plus and Enterprise. Elementor. IndexNow. robots.txt AI crawler groups. MCP and Abilities API opt-in, off by default.
Homepage testimonials are job titles without names. We do not invent client names for a slide.
Bot hits are fetches. They are not ChatGPT naming the brand in an answer. We say that in the kickoff doc before anyone screenshots a spike and calls it visibility.
Two price sheets we refuse to merge
WordPress, per user per month (USD):
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly rate | What we note |
|---|---|---|---|
| PRO | $29 | $23 | ChatGPT and Claude analytics, llms.txt, page tracking; prompt count not stated |
| PLUS | $100 | $75 | All-bot analytics, 3 prompts |
| Enterprise | $149 | $112 | 10 prompts, chat support |
Shopify App Store (USD):
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | What we note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | n/a | 500 sessions/mo, 7-day retention, auto llms.txt |
| Mid | $29 | $278 | 10,000 sessions, 30-day retention, 30-day trial |
| Upper | $79 | $758 | 100,000 sessions, 90-day retention |
PRO $29 is not Shopify $29. We screenshot both and tell finance which CMS the site actually runs.
When we say yes to LLMagnet
Yes when the property is WordPress or Shopify, Yoast or RankMath is already there, and the gap is discovery files plus bot-hit analytics. PLUS if they insist on all-bot analytics and can live with 3 prompts. Shopify free if we only need to see whether bots appear inside 500 sessions.
We still run Promptwatch as the retainer OS. The plugin is site hygiene, not the KPI source.
When we keep Promptwatch as the retainer OS
Explore on the sales call. Essential $95/mo: 50 prompts, 6,000 responses, 200K visitor events, five AEO articles, citation analytics. Professional $245/mo: 25M crawler logs. Kick-off $199/mo for several brands. Business $579. Growth $399. Scale $799.
Content Agents to Webflow or Framer. Agent Analytics for crawl-to-citation. Reddit and YouTube citations. Visitor script or GTM. G2 4.7/5, 1,840+ brands. Amsterdam April 2025, €2M+ ARR by May 2026. No $29 Promptwatch plan. WordPress PRO is not "Promptwatch entry."
Most clients asking "is it worth it?" need named answers. LLMagnet does not replace Professional's crawler path, and 3 prompts on PLUS does not replace Essential.
Dual-stack we actually run
WordPress retailer with a blog: LLMagnet for llms.txt and Schema, Promptwatch Professional for site-wide GEO. Plugin owner in engineering. KPI owner on our side.
Pure B2B on Webflow: Promptwatch only. LLMagnet never enters the SOW.
Onboarding checklist we send
Before LLMagnet annual: confirm WordPress versus Shopify sheet, forbid merging $29 SKUs, write prompt counts (unstated / 3 / 10) on the estimate, assign who reads bot hits versus who reads Promptwatch mentions, leave MCP off unless we have a reason to opt in.
Before Promptwatch annual: Essential versus Professional on log SLA, visitor script or GTM, CDN on Professional, Content Agents inbox owner.
We run both checklists on WP/Shopify mixed retail. We run only Promptwatch on content-led Webflow or Framer.
Verdict
Worth it as a plugin on WordPress or Shopify. Not worth swapping out Promptwatch on a content retainer. We do not treat a visibility score as a citation. The feature we defend in QBRs is citation analytics (page, Reddit, YouTube), with Agent Analytics on Professional when crawlers are in scope.
Otterly.AI and Peec AI stay off the default stack. Profound is a different track.

Do you rank LLMagnet above Promptwatch?
No. We run Promptwatch. LLMagnet is a scoped plugin.
Does a bot spike mean we got recommended?
No.
Is Shopify free enough to skip Explore?
