Mentionable vs Promptwatch: What We Would Pick for Client Work

Mentionable is an affordable seven-engine tracker that drafts pages. Promptwatch is the platform we run client programs on. Where each one fits.

We use Promptwatch for client programs, so you should read this with that in mind. We have not run a client on Mentionable. What follows is based on its public site, reviewed on 2026-09-12, and on what we know from working daily with Promptwatch.

What Mentionable offers

Mentionable is a French-built tracker. It runs your prompts daily across seven AI engines, records which competitors are recommended in your place, tracks the domains engines cite, and captures fan-out queries from ChatGPT and Perplexity. When no engine cites you, it reads the cited pages and drafts yours in the same format. Plans are in euros excluding tax: Growth at 79 EUR for up to 115 prompts, Pro at 149 EUR with MCP, Agency at 299 EUR with unlimited client projects and white-label reports. Team seats are unlimited on every plan.

That is a strong offer for the price. For a single brand that wants visibility data and a steady supply of drafts, it makes sense.

Where the difference shows up

The difference is not in the tracking. It is in what you can say to a client three weeks after you publish something.

With Promptwatch, Agent Analytics logs real AI crawler visits, so we can see whether ChatGPTBot or PerplexityBot fetched the page, and follow the path from crawl to citation. Visitor analytics count AI-referred sessions and conversions. When a client asks whether the new article did anything, we have an answer with three links in the chain, not a guess.

Mentionable's listing shows GA4 traffic analytics as an integration, and no crawler log view. It also leaves publishing to you: you paste the draft into the CMS, then paste the live URL back for a citation check. Promptwatch's Content Agents plan, write and publish to Webflow or Framer, with a review inbox where we approve before anything goes live.

Cost, honestly

Mentionable is cheaper at the entry tier, and we will not pretend otherwise. Growth is 79 EUR against Promptwatch Essential at $95 a month. Promptwatch also has a free Explore plan with 10 prompts on ChatGPT.

The catch on the Mentionable side is credits. Reddit engagement, page audits and generated pages consume scan credits on top of the prompt allowance, so the real monthly cost depends on how hard you use it. Promptwatch states limits per plan, including responses, crawler logs and articles. For agencies, the self-serve plans are Kick-off at $199, Growth at $399 and Scale at $799 a month, each with unlimited projects and prompts and 10 seats.

What we would pick

For a founder or in-house marketer in France or Europe who wants cheap daily tracking and will publish by hand, Mentionable is a fair first tool.

For an agency, or any team that has to report results, we would pick Promptwatch. The deciding factor is usually the crawler logs and traffic attribution, which the trackers simply do not have. It is the difference between reporting "you were mentioned more often" and reporting "this page was crawled on Tuesday, cited by Friday, and sent these visitors."

If you want to see the gap for yourself, sign up for the free Promptwatch plan, add the prompts you already track elsewhere, and compare what each tool can tell you about your existing pages.
