Peec AI Agency Alternative for Multiple Clients and Brand Tracking: Otterly, Profound, Scrunch AI Visibility
Agencies comparing Peec, Otterly, Profound, and Scrunch for multi-client brand tracking. Kick-off at $199 is the agency plan we run. Promptwatch is the log; we still do the tickets.
Agencies that type "Peec AI agency alternative" already know Peec. Starter is $95/mo. The brief then names Otterly, Profound, and Scrunch as the other AI-visibility logos. The actual problem is not which logo looks best in a deck. It is brand tracking across more than one client: a project per brand, seats the client can open, and a mention-versus-citation view that survives a Friday review.
We already wrote a 2026 monitoring note on Profound, Otterly, and Peec. This post is the agency-buying version. The platform we put under a multi-client book is Promptwatch. Agency Kick-off is $199/mo: unlimited projects, 10 seats. That is the SKU that matches "multiple clients." Essential at $95 is one brand. Explore is free and ChatGPT-only. We will not run a roster on Explore.
What brand tracking has to mean
For each client, the same prompt list, same wording, every engine you pay for:
- Did the brand (and the aliases sales uses) appear.
- Was a URL cited, and was it theirs.
- Which domain won when they lost.
- Did an AI crawler fetch the candidate page.
That is brand tracking. A weekly vibe check in ChatGPT is not. Averaging four engines into one "AI score" for the QBR is not. We refuse that slide.
Visitor analytics (script or GTM) sit next to the mention column so a citation is not reported as a session. Most answers send no click. Finance still wants the click number. Keep both.
Otterly, Profound, and Scrunch as named options
Otterly at $29 is the on-ramp price. Fine to prove the category exists. Weak as the system of record for a roster, because cheap tiers refresh slowly and engines arrive as add-ons. We inherit Otterly when a client already lives there. We do not recommend it as the agency dashboard for five brands that expect a weekly triage.
Profound Starter is $99 on annual billing and ChatGPT-only. Procurement likes the name. A ChatGPT-only SKU cannot answer "how are we doing in Perplexity" at the next steering meeting. If the client already signed a fuller Profound contract, we work from that export. If they only have Starter, we run Promptwatch on the same list until coverage matches the questions they ask.
Scrunch at $250 annual is a starter price, not a multi-client platform with seats and a crawl path. We will look at a Scrunch export. We will not move a book of brands onto that plan and call it agency brand tracking.
Peec at $95 is a clean monitor: daily data, a UI operators like. It stops at monitoring. No crawler log, no visitor analytics, no draft inbox in the same project. Excellent if you only wanted a tracker and already have humans for the rest. Awkward once you need one login model for ten client brands and you are tired of per-model add-on math.
We name those four because the search named them. We do not invent a winner chart.
Why Kick-off is the agency alternative
A brand plan (Peec at $95, Promptwatch Essential at $95) is one project. Stack that across clients and you get stacked invoices, forked prompt lists, and a CSV emailed to the account lead. Kick-off exists so each client is a project, the prompt list is not rationed across the book, and ten seats cover operators plus a client login.
Paid Promptwatch plans cover ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, plus AI Overviews and AI Mode, from the UIs, daily. Citation analytics are page-level and domain-level. Crawler logs (ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and the rest on the CDN) tell you if the miss started before retrieval.
That is the alternative we actually run. If you already standardized on Peec and the export is honest, we will not rip it out on day one. We will say what is missing: crawl path, AI-referred sessions, a review inbox for drafts.
How we stand up brand tracking for a roster
- One project per client brand. A dentist and a B2B vendor do not share a share-of-voice chart.
- Prompts from revenue conversations. Twenty-five per brand to start. Sales writes the first pass. We add the comparison URLs we already lose in Google.
- Client seat on day one. Emailing exports is how versions fork.
- Weekly human triage. Daily data in the platform. Multi-engine losses become tickets. Single-engine flips get a note.
- GSC generative reports stay on the client's Google login. Those reports are Overviews and AI Mode. They are not the chatbot log.
Classic rank tracking stays. Services is the page work the tracker will not do.
FAQ
Is Kick-off just Peec at a higher price?
No. Peec at $95 is a monitor for a project. Kick-off at $199 is an agency plan: unlimited projects, seats, plus crawler and visitor views in the same product. If you only needed Peec's UI and you already have crawl logs elsewhere, stay. If you needed a book of brands in one vendor, this is the alternative.
Can we mix Otterly for small clients and Profound for large ones?
You can. You will then run two taxonomies and two definitions of "cited." We would rather one log format. Inherit what is already paid; do not add a third.
Do you claim a client count?
No. This is a software shape. See the 15-client dashboard note for the same point. We do not invent a roster size.
What to do this week
- List every client brand that asked for AI brand tracking. One row per brand, current vendor, engines that SKU actually includes.
- If the vendor is Otterly at $29, Profound Starter, or Scrunch at $250 annual, write down the coverage hole in one sentence.
- Stand up Promptwatch on Kick-off if you need projects and seats. Use Essential only for a single-brand pilot. Use Explore only as a ChatGPT demo.
- Load 25 prompts on one brand and invite that client to a seat.
- Email hello@1001seomedia.com with the vendor list if you want us on the weekly triage. Peec, Otterly, Profound, and Scrunch are names. The work is still the ticket.
