Promptwatch vs CrowdReply 2026
We operate Promptwatch on retainers. CrowdReply enters SOWs only after legal signs off on persona posting. Two loops, one measurement OS.
Clients paste both logos into one spreadsheet row. We un-merge before we quote.
Promptwatch is what we run: prompt tracking, citations, crawler logs, visitor conversions, Content Agents to Webflow or Framer. CrowdReply is what we scope only when comms owns Reddit placements and legal has signed off on posting from persona community accounts. Same vs-query, different owners inside the client org.
We would not post from persona accounts for clients without legal signoff. We measure on Promptwatch.
What each platform automates
CrowdReply: daily prompt tracking, citation source intelligence, Reddit listening (Quora and Facebook listening from Growth), Engagement Engine that posts comments and threads through CrowdReply's account network, credits for comments, posts, and upvote orders. MCP and API on every plan. Homepage FAQ engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude. G2 4.9 displayed with a G2 link. 5,000+ brands as vendor copy.
Promptwatch: site and page citations, prompt trends, Agent Analytics crawl-to-citation from Professional ($245/mo, 25M logs), visitor script or GTM, five to fifteen AEO articles depending on tier, Reddit and YouTube citation views as analytics. G2 4.7/5, 1,840+ brands. Amsterdam April 2025, €2M+ ARR within 12 months (May 2026). No $29 plan.
CrowdReply acts on threads. Promptwatch acts on content sites. We do not ask one tool to do both jobs in a single line item.
Money talk (no credit fiction)
CrowdReply (USD, 26 August 2026):
| Plan | Price | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99/mo | $50 credits, $10 comment / $25 post, trial has no posting |
| Growth | $299/mo | $200 credits, $8 comment, 6h listening |
| Enterprise | from $499/mo | $300 credits, 7 models, dedicated AM |
Help center 18 March 2026: credits never expire, top-ups from $200, automod free, 75% refund within 72 hours. Backlinks Marketplace (40,000+ publishers) is extra. 30-day money-back.
Promptwatch (USD):
| Plan | Price | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| Explore | Free | Sales demo |
| Essential | $95/mo | One brand retainer |
| Professional | $245/mo | Logs in the SLA |
| Kick-off | $199/mo | Multi-brand agency |
Starter $99 versus Essential $95 is a sticker tie until five comments eat the pack. We screenshot both checkouts for procurement. Testimonials with "$1M extra revenue" stay off slides unless the client wants vendor quotes labeled as such.
Dual-stack we actually run
Retail or SaaS client with a Reddit program: CrowdReply Growth only after legal, Promptwatch Professional for site-wide GEO. Comms owns comment volume. We own crawler errors, citation pages, and conversions.
Pure content B2B: Promptwatch only. CrowdReply never enters the SOW. Quora and Facebook engagement still "coming soon" is another reason we do not promise those channels.
Who we send where
CrowdReply: in-house comms with an existing community playbook, written persona policy, and a separate measurement contract.
Promptwatch: every content retainer. Anyone who will ask us why visibility moved last month.
Profound if Enterprise agents are already in procurement. Otterly.AI and Peec AI stay off the default stack.
Verdict
We un-merge the row. Measure on Promptwatch. Buy CrowdReply only as a posting SKU with legal in the room. Product we operate: promptwatch.com.
FAQ
Do you rank CrowdReply above Promptwatch?
No. We run Promptwatch.
Is the CrowdReply trial useful?
For tracking and listening, yes. For the Engagement Engine, no. Budget a paid month if posting is the test.
Can we skip legal if G2 is 4.9?
No. G2 does not sign the persona policy.
