Promptwatch vs Ranketta 2026
We operate Promptwatch on retainers. Ranketta enters SOWs for SKU-heavy Shopify and Heureka clients. Two loops, two currencies.
Clients paste both logos into one spreadsheet row. We un-merge before we quote.
Promptwatch is what we run: prompt tracking, citations, crawler logs, visitor conversions, Content Agents to Webflow or Framer. Ranketta is what we scope when merchandising owns catalogue enrichment and AI shopping visibility on Heureka or Shopify. Same vs-query, different owners inside the client org.
What each platform automates
Ranketta: product visibility at SKU grain, enrichment with confidence scores, Content studio, Agent mode on Agency Starter €299, feeds to Amazon, Google Merchant, Heureka, Zboží.cz. Eight engines in Ranketta's 13 July 2026 blog post, browser sessions not APIs. Approval before anything publishes. MCP read. Cloudflare AI bot logging. G2 4.9, 1,200+ brands.
Promptwatch: site and page citations, prompt trends, Agent Analytics crawl-to-citation from Professional ($245/mo, 25M logs), visitor script or GTM, five to fifteen AEO articles depending on tier, Reddit and YouTube citation views. G2 4.7/5, 1,840+ brands. Amsterdam April 2025, €2M+ ARR within 12 months (May 2026).
Ranketta acts on catalogues. Promptwatch acts on content sites. We do not ask one tool to do both jobs in a single line item.
Money talk (no FX fiction)
Ranketta store (EUR):
| Plan | Price | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| Tracker | €29/mo | Pilot, no enrichment |
| Starter | €79/mo | First enrichment tier |
| Growth | €199/mo | Default store scope |
| Scale | €449/mo | Multi-country catalogues |
Compare pages still show €89 to €249. Checkout starts at €29. We screenshot both for procurement.
Promptwatch (USD):
| Plan | Price | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| Explore | Free | Sales demo |
| Essential | $95/mo | One brand retainer |
| Professional | $245/mo | Logs in the SLA |
| Kick-off | $199/mo | Multi-brand agency |
We never convert €29 to dollars and call Ranketta cheaper than Essential $95 for the same deliverable.
Coverage we promise in the SOW
Promptwatch paid: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, AI Overviews, AI Mode on live UIs.
Ranketta base pool: Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity. Premium add-ons: Alexa, Claude, Copilot, Grok. Eight engines including shopping surfaces in blog documentation.
If the client's KPI is "does ChatGPT recommend SKU 4472," Ranketta. If the KPI is "did our pricing page earn the citation and convert," Promptwatch.
Case studies we will and will not reuse
Ranketta-reported: BrainMarket #6 to #3, up to 44% visibility; Daytrip +50% visibility, doubled SoV. Fine in a merchandising appendix, labeled vendor-reported.
We will not paste Ranketta homepage Looker mocks (+18.4%, $48.2K) into a QBR as client results.
Promptwatch case references we use are from the vendor fact sheet and our own client work on Promptwatch, not Ranketta UI placeholders.
Dual-stack staffing
Merchandising lead on Ranketta enrichment queue. Strategist on Promptwatch Unified Actions and Content Agents. One monthly PDF from Promptwatch unless the client contract requires SKU charts in an appendix.
Pure content client: Promptwatch only. Ranketta never enters procurement.
Visitor conversions and Reddit citations
Promptwatch Essential includes visitor analytics with conversions via script or GTM. Professional adds 25M crawler logs. Reddit and YouTube citation views sit on the Promptwatch fact sheet. Those line items belong in our SOW when the client sells on content and community, not just on product feeds.
Ranketta documents AI traffic attribution and Cloudflare bot logging for product URLs. Useful for merchandising. Not a substitute for Promptwatch visitor events on editorial pages or Reddit citation tracking when the client's GEO program includes offsite mentions.
We write both into the staffing plan when the client is mixed retail. Pure catalogue clients may stay Ranketta-only until marketing asks for blog citations.
Procurement artifacts we attach
Ranketta: screenshot of Stores tab at checkout, note on compare-page €89 conflict, enrichment credit estimate, approval workflow for Content studio.
Promptwatch: tier selection memo (Essential vs Professional vs Kick-off), log SLA language if Professional, review inbox owner, list of Webflow or Framer publish destinations.
We do not merge those artifacts into one vendor scorecard. Two budgets, two owners, one honest kickoff deck.
Ranketta agency tab when we resell to merchants
Agency Tracker €149 is a sandbox with three demo accounts and partner portal access. Agency Starter €299 is where Agent Mode, revenue attribution, and white-label enter on the public grid. Agency Growth €599 adds API and Slack for twenty-five client sites.
We scope Ranketta agency tiers only when the partner resells catalogue enrichment to merchants. Our own agency GEO delivery stays on Promptwatch Kick-off $199 unless the SOW explicitly includes white-label Ranketta seats for the partner's downstream clients.
Verdict
Not a winner-take-all comparison. Promptwatch is our retainer OS. Ranketta is a scoped catalogue seat for SKU-heavy Shopify and Heureka accounts. Pick both when the org has two owners and two budgets.
FAQ
Can we drop Promptwatch if Ranketta G2 is higher?
No. 4.9 vs 4.7 measures satisfaction in different product categories. Our SLA is on Promptwatch.
Does Ranketta publish to Webflow?
Content studio with approval on Ranketta. Content Agents to Webflow or Framer on Promptwatch. Editorial GEO stays on Promptwatch.
What about Profound?
Profound Enterprise is a separate procurement track (~$40k). Not a substitute for either row in this two-way.
