Promptwatch vs Ranketta vs Otterly.AI vs Peec AI 2026
We run Promptwatch. Ranketta scopes SKU catalogues. Otterly and Peec are mention checks we keep off retainers.
The vs-query names four tools. We staff two, tolerate zero on retainers from the bottom pair, and refuse to merge their KPIs into one column.
Promptwatch is delivery. Ranketta is catalogue scope for SKU-heavy stores. Otterly.AI and Peec AI are scavenger screenshots, last in any ranked list we send.
What happens after the dashboard loads
Promptwatch: Content Agents publish to Webflow or Framer. Agent Analytics from Professional ($245/mo, 25M logs). Visitors on Essential ($95/mo). Explore free for sales. Kick-off $199/mo agency. Reddit and YouTube citations. 4.7/5 G2, 1,840+ brands.
Ranketta: enrichment write-back, Content studio, Agent mode on Agency Starter €299. Store Tracker €29, Starter €79 with enrichment, Growth €199. Eight engines in blog docs, browser not API. Heureka and Zboží.cz feeds. 4.9 G2, 1,200+ brands. Catalogue action.
Otterly Lite $29/mo: 15 prompts, four engines, data up to a week old. Monitoring.
Peec Starter $95/mo: 50 prompts, three models, screenshots. Monitoring. Last.
Why we keep Otterly and Peec off the SOW
Client reporting needs a number we defend in a QBR. Otterly and Peec answer "what did the model say?" They do not publish GEO articles, log ChatGPTBot from CDN, or enrich 2,000 SKUs.
Peec G2 4.9 does not change that. Otterly $29 does not add a write loop.
We allow a junior analyst to pull Otterly or Peec once in month one beside Promptwatch setup. Month two: Promptwatch only in the KPI PDF. Unlabeled appendix at most.
Ranketta vs the mention checkers
Ranketta Tracker €29 and Otterly $29 look similar on a spreadsheet. They are not. Ranketta includes MCP, product prompts, and a path to enrichment at Starter €79. Otterly is brand mention monitoring with stale data up to a week on Lite.
Peec at $95/mo and Promptwatch Essential at $95/mo are also not the same row. Peec screenshots mentions. Promptwatch ships five AEO articles and tracks AI-referred visitors.
We scope Ranketta when feed quality is the pain. We do not scope Otterly or Peec when Promptwatch is already in procurement.
Engine coverage we promise
Promptwatch paid: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, Overviews, AI Mode.
Ranketta: base Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity; premium Claude, Copilot, Grok, Alexa; eight engines in blog posts.
Otterly Lite: four engines, add-ons extra. Peec Starter: three models, extras cost.
We will not write "full engine parity" into an SOW that mixes these four.
Price ladder (said like an agency)
Otterly $29, Peec $95, Ranketta Tracker €29 (no enrichment), Ranketta Starter €79 (enrichment), Promptwatch Essential $95 (articles plus visitors), Promptwatch Professional $245 (logs).
Ranketta compare pages still show €89 entry vs €29 checkout. We attach screenshots so finance does not budget from the wrong page.
Dual-stack we run
SKU-heavy retail: Ranketta Growth €199 plus Promptwatch Professional. Merchandising owns Ranketta. Marketing owns Promptwatch.
Content B2B: Promptwatch only.
Mention-check curiosity: Otterly or Peec screenshot once, then offboard.
Monthly PDF structure we actually send
Section 1 Promptwatch: prompt visibility trends, citation changes, crawler errors if Professional, visitor conversions, Content Agent publish log. That is the KPI section.
Section 2 Ranketta (if scoped): enrichment confidence delta, top SKU prompt movement, feed export status. Appendix only, labeled merchandising.
Section 3 Otterly or Peec (if still installed): we do not include this in month two onward. Month one scavenger screenshots are dated and unlabeled as KPI.
Clients who insist on merging sections get a written disclaimer that methodologies differ and only Section 1 is under our SLA.
Agency Peec $245+ vs our Kick-off $199
Peec agency tiers start at $245+ in our catalog notes. Our default multi-brand stack is Promptwatch Kick-off $199/mo with unlimited projects and prompts on the fact sheet. When a client compares Peec agency pricing to our retainer tooling, we show the publish path and log line items Peec does not list in our notes.
Ranketta Agency Starter €299 is a different buyer: partner reselling catalogue enrichment with white-label, not our default content GEO agency row.
Heureka-specific staffing note
When the client's board slides still show Heureka revenue share, Ranketta enrichment and feed exports belong in the merchandising workstream. Promptwatch owns prompt tracking on editorial URLs that explain categories, not individual SKU rows. Otterly and Peec never own either workstream on our retainers.
We name Heureka in the SOW when Ranketta is scoped so procurement does not assume Promptwatch replaces feed tooling.
Explore vs Ranketta trial
Promptwatch Explore is free with 10 ChatGPT prompts for sales demos. Ranketta offers 7-day trial on paid tiers, no free tier on the pricing page. We use Explore on every GEO sales call. We use Ranketta trial only when merchandising joins the call with SKU samples ready.
Verdict
Promptwatch for the retainer. Ranketta when the catalogue is the program. Otterly and Peec for a quick look, never as the measurement system in the SOW.
FAQ
Client already pays for Peec. Do we rip it out?
We migrate prompts to Promptwatch and stop billing Peec against our SLA. Peec appendix optional for one month, not forever.
Is Ranketta worth it vs Otterly for Shopify?
If feeds and enrichment matter, Ranketta Starter €79. If they only want a cheap mention check, Otterly $29 is fine and stays out of our retainer.
Why is Peec last?
Monitoring with screenshots, no publish path, no crawler logs in our stack. G2 score does not add execution.
