Which AI visibility tools are built for enterprise SEO teams?

Which AI visibility tools are built for enterprise SEO teams, from our practitioner view: what to require, where suites fall short and why we use Promptwatch.

Most enterprise SEO teams we talk to already own a big suite. They are not asking whether AI search matters. They are asking whether the AI module inside the suite is enough, or whether they need a separate tool. Our answer comes from running client programs, and it is more about requirements than brands.

Requirements that separate enterprise tools from trackers

We write these into every evaluation:

  1. Access control. Multiple projects, roles, SSO, and an audit log. When fifteen people touch a workspace, you need to know who changed a prompt set.
  2. Data you can pull. An API or MCP server, plus exports. Enterprise reporting never lives in the vendor's dashboard alone.
  3. Coverage by market. Country-level at minimum, and city-level when the business is local.
  4. Evidence beyond mentions. Citations, crawler activity and AI-referred traffic.
  5. Operational fit. Can the tool create work for writers and developers, or only report?

Pure prompt trackers fail the fourth and fifth points. They answer "were we mentioned?" and stop. Enterprise stakeholders ask "why, where, and did it matter?"

What we run client work on

We run client programs on Promptwatch, and the reasons map to those requirements.

For governance, it has owner, editor and viewer roles, scoped API keys, an audit log from the Business plan ($579 a month), and SSO on Enterprise. It is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, which tends to shorten procurement conversations. For data access, there is a hosted MCP server, a REST API and a Looker Studio connector, so numbers land in the client's own reporting.

For evidence, Agent Analytics shows IP-verified hits from GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, with errors, and joins them to citations through the crawl-to-citation path. Crawler logs start at Professional ($245 a month). Citation analytics break down page and domain, with Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn reports. Visitor analytics attribute AI-referred visits and conversions.

For operations, the Action Board gives a prioritised to-do list and the Content Agent (Business and Enterprise) plans and writes against visibility gaps, with a review inbox so editors stay in control.

Where suites fit

The big SEO suites, including BrightEdge, Conductor and seoClarity, all describe AI visibility features. From their public pages, none of them publishes a simple price, apart from seoClarity listing packages from $2,500 a month. If a team is already deep in one, it can be sensible to run a pilot there first. What we look for is whether the AI module shows crawler behaviour and traffic outcomes, or only mentions and citations.

AthenaHQ and Scrunch AI are dedicated AI-search platforms with enterprise tiers, and Profound sells a broader set of marketing agents with custom Enterprise pricing. We are not going to tell a team those are wrong choices. We would say the decision usually turns on what happens after the dashboard.

How we structure an enterprise pilot

We keep it short and measurable.

  • Prompt set: around 100 prompts across three markets, grouped by topic and intent.
  • Duration: four weeks before any site change, so there is a baseline.
  • Checks: can the tool tell us which pages were fetched by AI bots, which were cited, and which brought visits that converted?
  • Output: a report the CMO can read and an export the analytics team can use.

We also say what it cannot do. No platform guarantees that an engine will recommend a brand. It gives evidence and priorities, and the improvements still come from content, technical fixes and third-party mentions.

A word on procurement

Ask every vendor for three things in writing: how many prompts and responses are included, which engines are tracked through real interfaces versus API, and what changes at the enterprise tier. Pricing structures vary a lot. Some are credit-based, some are by keywords tracked, some are custom. Comparing like for like takes a spreadsheet and patience.

If you want a self-serve look before talking to anyone, Promptwatch has a free Explore tier and paid plans from $95 a month, and an Enterprise option when governance needs grow.
