ChatGPT Brand Visibility Tracking and AI Search Monitoring Tools for Perplexity Visibility (Enterprise)
Enterprise ChatGPT tracking that skips Perplexity is usually Profound Starter. We still run Promptwatch so the Perplexity column is not empty.
Enterprise ChatGPT brand visibility tracking is the logo on the RFP. Perplexity visibility is the column that goes empty when the signed SKU is Profound Starter ($99 annual, ChatGPT only, 50 prompts). Buyers still use Perplexity (22M+ monthly) when they want footnotes. We will not report "enterprise AI search" from one engine.
The monitoring tools we add (or run instead of Starter) start with Promptwatch, the platform we run client programs on. Paid plans include ChatGPT and Perplexity from Essential at $95/mo. Business is $579/mo for five projects. Custom adds SSO. Kick-off is $199/mo when we hold several brands.
ChatGPT has 820M+ weekly active users. That is why procurement led with it. That does not make Perplexity optional if the brief named it. An empty column is worse than a small MAU. We would rather show a thin Perplexity series than pretend the stack is complete. A steering deck that says "AI search" and only shows ChatGPT trains the room to ignore the footnote engine until a competitor shows up there first.
How we handle an existing Profound contract
Starter. ChatGPT pilot. Perplexity from Promptwatch. Slide titles will not say "Profound" and imply both engines. We will write the SKU on the slide if we have to.
Growth ($399 annual, three engines). Confirm Perplexity is one of the three. If not, we still add a log. We do not wait for a contract amendment if Perplexity is in the SOW now.
Enterprise (reported $2,000 to $5,000+/mo). Work from it if the engines match. We still want crawler logs and visitor analytics. If those are missing in the login we are given, Promptwatch holds that slice. Setup on Profound is 1 to 3 months. We do not wait to start a prompt list. G2 reviewers have seen citation counts that diverge from manual ChatGPT checks. We treat Profound as directional at that price.
Otterly includes both engines from $29 with lag. Not an enterprise report. Peec can include both inside three models. Ahrefs Brand Radar is modeled and slow. GSC generative reports stay for Overviews.
If Enterprise lands later, we reconcile. We do not delete Promptwatch history to make a vendor happy.
What the steering deck shows
Two columns. Named versus cited URL. Scope (prompts, dates). We do not blend ChatGPT and Perplexity into one score. Allow OAI-SearchBot if ChatGPT Search is in scope.
Promptwatch does not replace ten-engine Profound. It replaces Starter and the "we thought we had Perplexity" gap.
FAQ
Is Perplexity too small for enterprise?
Smaller than ChatGPT. Still a citation-heavy path. Buyers use it when they want footnotes. An empty column is worse than a small MAU.
Should we pause Promptwatch if Enterprise lands?
Reconcile. Do not delete history to make a vendor happy. If the Enterprise login we are given is missing crawler logs or visitor analytics, Promptwatch still holds that slice.
We bought Profound. Are we done?
Read the SKU. Starter is ChatGPT only, 50 prompts. That is a pilot, not Perplexity coverage.
What to do this week

- Load Promptwatch Essential or Business.
- Report two columns in the next steering deck.
- Email hello@1001seomedia.com with the SKU if you want us to dual-run.
