Scrunch AI Alternatives for B2B SaaS (2026)
What we recommend to B2B SaaS clients weighing Scrunch AI alternatives, and the platform we run SaaS GEO programs on.
SaaS clients come to us with a consistent brief. Buyers ask an AI for a shortlist of vendors, the client is missing from it or named beside the wrong rival, and someone senior wants to know what it costs in pipeline. When Scrunch AI is already on the table, the conversation is about whether it can carry that brief. Sometimes it can. Often the gaps decide it.
Scrunch starts at $250 a month on annual billing, with three seats and 350 custom prompts. Its Agent Experience Platform, which serves optimized page versions to AI crawlers, is unusual and useful. The friction is in reporting, weekly data refresh and per-engine credit use, and Sitecore bought the company in June 2026. We have no view into Sitecore's plans.
What we need for a SaaS program
Our SaaS programs rest on five things, and we test every tool against them.
- Prompts that sound like buyers. Category, use case and comparison prompts, tracked daily.
- Citation sources. Which pages and domains the models cite. For SaaS this is often a mix of the client's own docs, review sites and Reddit threads.
- Bot access. Whether AI crawlers can fetch pricing, docs and integration pages without errors.
- Pipeline attribution. AI-referred visits and the demo requests that follow.
- Content shipping. A way to turn gaps into comparison and alternatives pages without a month of back and forth.
What we run client programs on
Promptwatch is the platform we use because it covers all five. Prompt tracking spans ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and more, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Citation analytics split by page, domain, Reddit and YouTube. Agent Analytics shows crawler activity and errors. Visitor analytics connect AI-referred traffic to conversions via a script or GTM template. Content Agents plan and publish to Webflow or Framer with a review inbox, which is where our editors step in.
For agencies the self-serve plans start at $199 a month with unlimited projects and prompts and ten seats. Brand plans are Essential $95, Professional $245 and Business $579, and there is a free Explore plan on ChatGPT only. Annual billing is twelve months for the price of ten. Crawler logs start on Professional for brands.
The deciding factor is almost always attribution. Trackers tell a CMO they were mentioned. They cannot tell the CMO whether it produced a demo.
Other options, honestly
AthenaHQ starts at $295 a month with a free tier and works well for teams that will clear an action queue daily. Credit billing is hard to predict and it has no published crawler-log product. Profound is an enterprise agent program from around $40k a year, and its $99 Starter is ChatGPT only. HubSpot AEO at $50 a month is a sensible entry point for HubSpot shops, with three engines and no conversion analytics. Otterly.AI and Peec AI are cheap trackers that we do not use for SaaS programs because neither shows crawlers or conversions.
How we run the switch
A clean migration takes about two weeks. We export the existing prompt list, rewrite it so every prompt sounds like a buyer, and run both tools side by side. By the end of the second week we compare citation sources and check crawler logs on the pricing and docs pages. Then we decide.
